Our community of Anchorage, Alaska offers the best of everything, including Flattop Mountain at the edge of the town. This convenient location was the breathtaking backdrop for a recent family photography session, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The mountains in autumn hold a unique kind of charm—when the air turns crisp, the trees burst into shades of gold, the foliage turns a deep red, and the soft glow of the setting sun bathes everything in a warm, golden light.

For their second Membership session, this family wanted to highlight the fall season while capturing the mid-year milestone of their daughter. The baby girl, only five months old, was a bundle of joy and curiosity, watching the dogs run through the bushes and feeling the breeze rustling through the leaves, all while being loved by mom and dad. There’s something so special about a family session at this stage, where the baby is still so small and reliant on her parents, and their bond is so evident.

As the sun dipped lower, golden light bathed the family in warmth and set the mountains ablaze with color. The fading daylight also created a sense of intimacy—moments of quiet connection between the family, surrounded by the serene beauty of the mountains.
