As a Children’s Milestone Photographer serving Anchorage, Palmer, and Wasilla (as well as visiting families from across Alaska), it can be so much fun to plan these first birthday sessions. When your little one turns 12 months old, often we plan their one year session to coordinate with their birthday theme or colors, scheduling the session in advance so that the pictures are ready in time to be framed for display during the party.

For K’s one year session, Mama wanted to have a bit of a farm theme to go with his “Old MacDonald” birthday party theme, while still having the natural, relaxed feel that would coordinate with their existing portraits. Luckily, I knew a spot! My beloved Palmer Field backs up to a small farm and the rustic setting was perfect for this little farmer.

And I do think my favorite part was his adorable little muck boots!
