Yes, we have to work to survive. Life costs money and those sweet little kids of ours are eating more snacks than ever. But providing for our family is the reason why we work so hard.
Yes, the schools are closed/limited and the future of education is more uncertain than ever. You might even be switching to homeschooling to allow for extra flexibility and control over your family’s welfare. But making sure your children have a love for learning and are equipped for the life ahead is why we are willing to jump through all the hoops.
Yes, our social interactions are limited, and let’s be honest; no one enjoys wearing a mask. It’s been months since we’ve seen some friends or family and those big birthday parties aren’t happening anytime soon. But you know what is happening? Family walks after supper. Camping trips, car rides, and adventures to places you’ve never been before. More FaceTime calls to Grandmom & Granddad because we realize how important family truly is. Socializing doesn’t look anything like what it did six months ago, but the love and appreciation that we have for each other is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. That’s why.
