| Summer is our favorite time of year. Or maybe it was autumn? Spring? No, it’s winter, I’m sure of it. Okay, we love every season of the year- each one is our favorite! But summer is extra-special because that means no school, long days and even longer nights, and lots of time spent outside. Some of our favorite summertime activities are: hiking canoeing mini road-trips camping berry picking fishing ATVing beachcombing friday fling rock climbing eating s’mores sprinklers and pools riding bikes Even with all these fun things we have planned, it can be hard to keep kids occupied. Is there such a thing as too much fun? (Answer: YES!) I’ve found that my kids do best with a regular schedule, even in the summertime. We push breakfast a little later due to all the late nights, and spend the morning reading, doing math pages, and pursuing hobbies, like coding and piano. Then we tidy up at lunch and the kids are All in all, summer is a very busy time but filled with some of the absolute best memories. And when I get to photograph a family having adventures together, that’s pretty awesome, too. (Btw, I’m #teamcap all the way!) |
