The baby that started it all.

This is my baby boy, Caleb. He turned 14 years old yesterday. (Let that sink in…)

This was his newborn session at 10 days old- and it was my first newborn session ever. Before this, I had photographed kids, families, and engagements, but hadn’t yet tried out maternity or newborn.

While expecting our first child, I fell in love with all things baby, and especially with how important it was to document these first memories. After Caleb was born, I took hundreds of pictures in those first months. I was head over heels in love with this little boy and didn’t want to miss a single moment.

That led to dedicating my photography to motherhood, newborns, and families. I wanted to help other families document their most meaningful moments and celebrate each new, precious, little life.

Over the years I’ve improved my skill, refined my craft, expanded my services, and got better at the “business” of it all, but the heart remains the same as when I first took this picture.

It goes by so fast, ya’ll. That little baby is as tall as me now. His hand is almost as big as my husband’s. He’s not little, but he’s still my baby. And I treasure these pictures of his first days like the gift they are.
