Ya’ll, this has been an odd winter. First, it was too warm and we were waiting weeks for the snow to finally arrive. Then, we got dumped on and the temperature dropped into the single digits, and then on into the negatives. It made outdoor sessions quite… challenging. For Sarah’s wintertime maternity session, we were keeping our fingers crossed for warmer temps, but the forecast was for single digits. We switched to the next day and were blessed with a +20° difference!

This tucked-away spot is located in East Anchorage and is perfectly situated for easy access, mountain views on a clear day, and the most darling snow-covered Christmas trees. It’s ideal for these short winter sessions so we can hurry up and get back to the warm cars.

It was wonderful to celebrate this new baby with them, remembering how big sis was the new baby just a few years ago. I love watching families grow and I am so honored to document each new milestone and addition to the family.
